Mohammed ElBaradei IAEA Chief arrived in India

The IAEA Chief Mohammed ElBaradei, arrived in Mumbai late on Monday night on a three-day visit to India.

His visit comes in the midst of the UPA government's failure to get the nod of Left parties to go ahead with negotiations with the UN atomic watchdog to help implement the Indo-US nuclear deal.

ElBaradei will have talks with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and other Indian leaders in Delhi even as the government's standoff with the Left on the nuclear deal escalated further.
During his stay in Mumbai, ElBaradei will visit the Advanced Centre for Treatment Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC) at Kharghar in Navi Mumbai and Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) where he will interact with India's top nuclear officials.
