Shilpa's scared for Shamita!
"I met Jermaine Jackson and his wife Halima after nearly three years...caught up on old times, got nostalgic over our experiences in the 'Big Brother' house. It had been so long but we picked up from where we left, one thing being constant - our friendship, so was happy on that front," Shilpa, who won "Celebrity Big Brother" in 2007, posted on her blog www.shilpashettylive.com/blog.
Jermaine landed in India Friday for 10 days to collaborate with singer Adnan Sami on an album being produced by T-Series. During his stay here, he will also shoot for a concept video for the same song.
Shilpa says their meeting Sunday night was "a strange co-incidence" as her younger sister Shamita was heading for "Bigg Boss", the Indian version of "Celebrity Big Brother".
Shilpa is apprehensive about how Shamita will fair in "Bigg Boss".
"I scurried to spend the last two days before she left, tried to dissuade her considering she'll be away for three months if she lasts. (I) can't describe how difficult our last goodbye was. Now I know what she went through when I left three years ago to be a part of 'Big Brother'. We are very close so it was heartbreaking.

Says a source from the channel Colors, "One reason why we were interested in getting Baba Ramdev on board is because we got Sherlyn. So we wanted to create a Vishwamitra-Menaka kind of situation between the saint and the seductress in the 'Bigg Boss' house. Unfortunately Baba opted out."

Katrina Kaif gets new nickname
Her fans have often referred to her as Kat, but now actress Katrina Kaif has a new nickname — Sambo — courtesy her Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani co-star Ranbir Kapoor.
“Ranbir coined the name on the sets of the movie when both were required to shoot for an action sequence,” said a unit source.
For the scene, Katrina and Ranbir were required to climb a ladder placed at a height of 200 feet. Ranbir had to save Katrina from goons and then escape on a jet ski. While everyone was doubtful about Katrina doing the stunt, she shocked everyone with her confidence.
“Everyone on sets was quite sceptical about Katrina. But she amazed everyone as she comfortably climbed the ladder leaving Ranbir lagging behind. Ever since that day Katrina has always been addressed as Rambo’s sister Sambo by Ranbir,” said the source.

Salman's sweet: Bebo
But here is proof that the dildar Pathan is more than generous as well. And the recipient of his generosity was the beautiful Kareena Kapoor, Salman’s co-star in Main Aur Mrs. Khanna.
In Melbourne on the shoot, the two stars who are friends would always be laughing, cracking jokes and having fun. And when pack-up was announced, Kareena would often go shopping. Once, Salman accompanied her to carry the bags! At one particular store, Bebo went on a shopping spree, picking up things for friends, family and herself.
When she went to settle the bill, she was zapped to be told her that it was already paid. Seeing Salman grinning from ear-to-ear, Kareena realised who her benefactor was. Of the things that Salman apparently ‘gifted’ her was a limited edition bag worth Rs 2. 5 lakh! She uses the bag in the film too. When asked about the incident, Kareena replied, “Salman’s generosity cannot be matched. It was a very sweet gesture on his part. He is a wonderful person at heart.

The ‘Transformers’ star, who shares a lesbian kiss with Amanda Seyfried in her new film ‘Jennifer’s Body’, has also admitted that she was an outcast at high school.

Rakhi and Elesh still together, still engaged
Rakhi Sawant continues to be engaged to Toronto-based businessman Elesh Parujanwala, a source from NDTV Imagine said denying reports that the couple have broken up.
"Rakhi has not called it splits with Elesh. The couple are still seeing each other and very much together", said an insider from NDTV Imagine, on condition of anonymity.
Rakhi and Elesh got engaged through the reality show Rakhi Ka Swayamvar. Though the item girl-turned-actress had recently told IANS that she is jittery about marriage and motherhood after having to change diapers and sing lullabies for a baby boy for NDTV Imagine's show Pati Patni Aur Woh, the news of her giving Elesh the boot is a "media hype", said the channel source.
"Rakhi has not broken off her engagement with Elesh. This is only an unnecessary buzz that media has created. She is very much with him. She has in fact been noticed being very cosy with him," the insider added.
The news of the split came, in effect, after it was reported on Monday that Rakhi decided not to marry him citing "irreconcilable differences".
The pair has also been visibly sporting their engagement rings and cuddling a number of times, as observed by an IANS correspondent during a recent visit to Candolim, Goa where the couple is learning the hardships of parenting on the sets of reality show Pati Patni Aur Woh.

Deepika Padukone - Today's Crush
We're guessing it would be no shocker that we just had to feature this beauty as our crush today and the reasons for us unable to resist are aplenty.
For one, she pulls off that girl-next-door look with panache which totally turns us on. It's only when one manages to pull one's eyes from her dimples and evaluate her in entirety does one realise that this girl is a bodylicious bombshell.
We're vaguely aware that she had more than a few ad stints - she was the aqua-luminous Liril girl, represented with her Close-Up smile and endorsed lime and lemony Limca - but it's only after the release of her Bollywood debut Om Shanti Om, when posters, photographs and footage of the flawless-skinned siren exploded all over the country, that we found ourselves transfixed.

Rani Mukerji disguises herself as an aspiring Sikh cricketer in the upcoming film Dil Bole Hadippa. And Bollywood’s superstars were more than willing to help her get into the character’s groove — while Shah Rukh Khan gave her cricketing tips, Aamir Khan helped her with wearing a moustache.
“Shah Rukh gave me a lot of tips on cricket and I was very happy to have him give me tips for my character in the movie,” Rani told reporters.
Aamir, with whom Rani starred in Ghulam, too did his bit to help her don the garb of a Sikh.
“Aamir helped me with the moustache... I was shooting a song with Rakhi (Sawant) before I had the moustache on and he gave me tips on how I should put it with a little smile so that it doesn’t hurt,” said the actress.

Shriya would love to act with Salman
And that’s exactly what she did when she wasn’t in front of the camera for her Tamil film, Chikku Bukku, for which she was in Mysore over the weekend. “This is my way of relaxing. I visited the Lalit Mahal and saw the Mysore Palace. It was lovely to see the palace lit up,” says the actress.
Shriya is basking in the success of Kanthaswamy (which was also released in Telugu as Mallana). “I don’t care about talk about the movie’s delayed release. It’s been getting a great response. I was in Hyderabad when the movie released and my performance was appreciated. I’ve also heard that people are watching the film again,” she retorts.
Though Shriya has moved to B-town, she’s still in demand in the south. “It’s always nice to be loved and wanted back. And it’s even great to work if it’s a good story,” she says. And she’s enjoying the shoot for Chikku Bukku, even though it’s been delayed. “The rain has delayed our shoot, but we’re managing to go ahead. Chikku Bukku is a cute story, and is about two people who travel and explore places,” says Shriya.
And once she finishes the second schedule of Chikku Bukku, Shriya is off to the Toronto Film Festival to attend the screening of Cooking With Stella. “I’ll head there to walk the red carpet. It’s very special for us to be part of the festival, where the film is among 15 films that have the distinction of a gala screening,” says an enthusiastic Shriya.

Rani's feeling Hadippa
Not just on screen, with her latest film Dil Bole Hadippa ready for release, but also on the air waves... which she burned in a rollicking chat show live from Mumbai’s No. 1 radio station the Radio Mirchi studios recently.
Listeners of the popular station lapped it up eagerly as Rani’s husky voice narrated to RJ Suren of Sunset Samosa how she plays a boy ‘Veer’ and a girl ‘Veera’ in the film just to live out her small town dreams in 70mm.
Then, the actress chatted with winners of a Radio Mirchi contest and tested their linguistic skills by asking them to say the Punjabi words of some of the foot-stomping music from the film. RJ Suren asked, “Rani, what does Hadippa mean?” And she replied, “It is an expression of excitement. Dil Bole Hadippa! means that my heart is very happy and excited.”
Next question: What is the interpretation of Disco Wale Khisko? And, promptly came the sexy reply, “India has amazing music, full of energy, and we should be dancing to desi beats and get Disco to Khisko (move over).” We agree, and you will too if you listen to the hot tracks from Dil Bole Hadippa! by tuning into Radio Mirchi 98.3FM.

Shilpa, Bipasha, the powerpuff girls!
What’s been stopping many female-oriented projects is the supposed commercial non-feasibility of a chick flick. But now, Bollywood divas are all set to make it happen for themselves.
The Bipasha Basu-Shilpa Shetty project which was put on the backburner because of the recession is now being revived due to the warm vibes that the two actresses shared while shooting for Farah Khan’s talk show.
The film has been under wraps but secretly Shilpa’s plans for a home production have been crystallising. While one Shilpa Shetty-Raj Kundra production is being planned to re-launch Shilpa’s sister Shamita, the other is an action film that Shilpa will be doing with Bipasha.
Shilpa and Bipasha will have to undergo special training to acquire the agility to look convincing as action queens. Interestingly, the film is being written and directed by Manish Jha, who has earlier directed Matrubhoomi, a film on female foeticide.
Bipasha, who is looking forward to the film, says, “If everything works out properly, I would love to work with Shilpa. She’s a terrific person but doing the film depends on budget, and a host of other things.”
While commercial non-feasibility of female-oriented projects is a common thing in Bollywood, things are slowing changing. Apart from Shilpa’s film, Shristi Behl is all set to cast Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif in a desi adaptation of the Anne Hathaway-Kate Hudson Hollywood starrer, Bride Wars. Also, Katrina, who has bought the rights of a female-oriented French film, has asked Dibakar Banerjee to direct it. Katrina had earlier told Mumbai Mirror, “I don’t want to talk about it until I lock in all the details. I don’t want my idea to be used by anyone else. As for the director, I’m not saying anything. But this is a role I haven’t done before.”

Sushmita will now focus on commercial films
A diva in her own right, actress Sushmita Sen likes to live life on her terms but returning to the big screen after a considerable gap, the former beauty queen now wants to focus only on commercial films.
"One of the key things in my life that has been far more important than any commercial success or being in the right banner or the right film is that I never compromised on me. I never take things for granted," Sushmita said in an interview.
The 33-year-old actress, who has been missing from silver screen for two years barring the release of "Karma, Confessions and Holi" this year, which she disowned, says she is focusing on delivering some hits this time.
"I am focusing on making sure that I do only commercial films. I had done art films too early in my career and I am glad that I did them because they helped me grow as an actor but I want to focus on commercial films and make sure that I have some hits to my credit," says Sushmita, who was last seen in "Ram Gopal Verma Ki Aag" in 2007.

Lindsay Lohan believes in ‘karma’
Welcoming Lindsay Lohan's belief in 'karma', Hindus have urged her to further explore the rich philosophical thought of Hinduism.
Lohan recently wrote on social networking service 'twitter': "i'm all about Karma... what goes around comes around!"
Acclaimed Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA), said that ''karma'', the web of cause and effect and the rule of universal causality resulting from action, was first commented in ancient Satapatha Brahmana, and forms one of the basic principles of Hindu philosophy. The sum total of one's actions, desires, feelings, and thoughts form one's karma, which is a cosmic law of debit and credit for good and evil.
Zed, who is president of Universal Society of Hinduism, also urged Lohan to visit a nearby Hindu temple to have firsthand experience of Hinduism.
He offered to supply a set of Hindu scriptures to Lohan to help her in comprehensive understanding of its philosophy.
