Propagating large-scale use of alternative and traditional Indian systems of healthcare, Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Anbumani Ramadoss favoured making yoga compulsory in schools.
India is moving from the prevalence of communicable to non-communicable diseases, Ramadoss said on Friday while inaugurating 'Arogya', a fair of alternative systems of medicine.
To help people cope with changing lifestyles, alternative medicinal systems need to be propagated, he said adding "Yoga should be made compulsory in schools".
