Bomb theat Medical College in Salem

: A bomb threat at the Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College hospital in Salem sent security officials into a tizzy, police said on Tuesday.

Hospital dean Dr Shanmugham recieved a letter by courier on Monday claiming that a bomb will explode in the premises any day between November 15 and 22, police said.
Soon after receiving the letter, the dean informed the police, following which a bomb squad and a sniffer dog were despatched to the hospital.

The searches, which ended on Monday night, however, did not reveal any suspicious material, they said.
