Fake Visas: ex-embassy man in dock

In what could be a crucial lead into a possible human trafficking racket, a sacked employee of the US embassy in Delhi was arrested for allegedly helping 32 people get visas through illegal means.

Sanjay Kaushik – who was earlier working with the embassy as visa consultant - helped the group that approached the mission seeking visas in the guise of members of a musical troupe.
According to officials, the “musical troupe” was led by Punjabi pop singer Dolly Malkit Singh, who had earlier approached the embassy allegedly with forged documents for visas.

Kaushik runs a visa consultancy and was arrested on Monday from his residence in Janakpuri in west Delhi. He was apparently a history sheeter and was sacked from the embassy after the authorities found he allegedly connived with some travel agents and provided them illegal help in getting visas.
