I am 24 single: Sunidhi Chauhan

She doesn’t remember when she first started crooning. Sunidhi Chauhan was a singer even before she learnt reading or writing.
Music became an intrinsic part of her life after she won a music show on the telly. Soon, Sunidhi sang her first playback song for Aadesh Shrivastav for Shastra , and after that, there’s been no looking back.
Her second big break came with Mast . “It made a huge difference to my career. A beginner can’t ask for more,” she smiles.

But it hasn’t always been smooth sailing for Sunidhi. Her voice was very different from the ones people were used to in female playback singing, so acceptance didn’t come easily. “But the good thing was that no one said I can’t sing. After Annu Malik offered me Meri zindagi mein , people felt I could sing romantic numbers too. Soon, I started getting a variety of songs,” she informs.
It was only her passion for music that helped Sunidhi survive even when she was going through a crisis in her personal life. After a brief courtship, Sunidhi married choreographer Bobby Khan. However, the marriage did not last long. But Sunidhi did not falter – she picked herself up and has moved on.
