The Supreme Court has issued notice to Centre on a petition by sacked AIIMS chief P Venugopal challenging the controversial law fixing 65 years as the superannuation age for the post of institute's director.
The apex court granted two weeks time to the parties to file counter and rejoinder affidavits and posted the matter for mid-January next year.
In the meantime, KK Dogra, who has taken over as the chief of AIIMS will continue as the acting director till the further order, the apex court said.
