Congressmen conspiring to eliminate me: Maya

Alleging that some Congressmen were hatching a conspiracy to eliminate her, UP CM Mayawati on Monday threatened to withdraw support from the UPA after January 15.

Mayawati said that Centre has given her SPG protection fearing a threat to her life. But the BSP chief went on to allege that the UPA government is giving shelter to an MP who is plotting to kill her.

Earlier, blaming the Congress for not putting up a fight in the Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh assembly elections, Mayawati said had it been a "little more serious" it would not have given the BJP a walkover.

"Had the Congress been a little more serious and better prepared for the assembly polls, BJP would not got a majority in Gujarat. It was the responsibility of the main opposition party to fight but it gave it gave the BJP a walkover," she told reporters.
