Railway Minister Lalu Prasad has emerged as a new management guru, but that has not changed his weakness for his in-laws. When he ruled Bihar all major controversies were centered on his brother-in-laws Sadhu and Subash Yadav. And now as the Railway Minister he is flouting rulebooks to benefit his in-laws’ village.
A new rail track is being laid in Gopalganj district of Bihar connecting Hathua station to Gorakhpur in UP. This new line will also connect Shelar and Phulwaria — the native villages of Rabri Devi and Lalu Prasad Yadav respectively.
According to the railway rulebook, the minimum distance between two stations on a railway track has to be seven km. However, that rule, as it seems, may not be applicable in this case.
"Yeh jo line hai Lalu aur Rabri ke goan ko jor dega. Matra 2-2.5 km ka fasla hai (This railway track will join the Lalu and Rabri’s villages, which are merely at a distance of 2-2.5 km),” a local Dharamnath Sharan says.
