The concert, named Strings of Peace, will see the father and sons performing solos, duets as well as together for the event to be held at the Siri Fort Auditorium.

"We want to connect the world by bringing peace through music. Music does not belong to any one region. Everybody can enjoy and appreciate it," said Ustad Amjad Ali Khan at a press conference here on Tuesday.

The family has close ties with Assam as Ustad Amjad Ali Khan's wife Subbalakshmi hails from the state.

"This is the second time that Amaan and I are performing for this cause. It makes us proud as we will be performing for peace," explained Ayaan, the younger of the two brothers.

Over the last 60 years, the Assamese population in the national capital region has grown to over 100,000. To mark its diamond jubilee, the Assam Association has planned a series of programmes showcasing the diverse culture of the state.
