Fiona MacKeown, the mother of the British teenager, Scarlett Eden Keeling who was found dead on a North Goan beach in February, earlier this year, has returned to Goa from England and is expected to meet senior police officials on April 28, to follow up the case.
It may be recalled that the state government had already announced that the case would be handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). However, there is no confirmation from the CBI as regards taking over the case.
Ms MacKeown is also expected to raise the issue as to why some of the internal organs of her daughter, including kidneys, stomach and uterus were removed during the two autopsies in Goa.
The government has already clarified that the autopsies were carried out as per the medical guidelines and procedures.
