Woman kills abusive husband

: Unable to bear the constant physical assaults of her alcoholic husband, a woman reportedly bludgeoned him to death on Thursday night.

Banshi Lal (40), a sweeper with the railways and a resident of Shivani Mandi, would allegedly beat up his wife Rekha over minor issues and was a habitual drinker.

According to the police, Banshi had a dispute with his wife after he returned from work on Thursday evening. He reportedly asked what was for dinner, and upon being told there were two vegetables and one meat dish, he got angry over so many food items being prepared for the meal. In an inebriated condition, he began physically assaulting Rekha. In a fit of rage, Rekha too beat up her husband, leading to his death on the spot.
