Is Pak captain Malik dating ex-Miss India?

Pakistan skipper Shoaib Malik denied reports on Friday that he is romantically linked to former Miss India and Bollywood actress Sayali Bhagat.

According to media reports, Malik is dating Sayali and has visited India at least twice in the recent weeks to meet her and they had also been spotted together in a Mumbai hotel.

But Malik, who is still trying to get out of a controversy involving an Indian girl Ayesha Siddiqui, said it was a story cooked up by the media and he and Sayali were "just good friends."

"Look I don't know from where these stories surface. It is true I know her and we are friends but no I am not having any affair with her," Malik said on Friday.

"The media has always played up stories whenever cricketers or actors have been friends it is nothing new. We are just good friends and we have gone out a couple of times in Mumbai," the 26-year-old right-handed batsman said.

Malik was embroiled in a major controversy last year when Ayesha's father who hails from Hyderabad claimed that he had performed "Nikah" with his daughter but was now denying this.
