Marathi actress Jaishree Gadkar dead

Well-known Marathi actress Jaishree Gadkar died early Friday at her home in Dadar, central Mumbai, following prolonged illness, a family source said.

The 66-year-old actress had worked in over 250 Marathi movies as well as a few Hindi movies.

Critically acclaimed for her role in Sadhi Manasa and Paishacha Paus, Jaishree had won the V. Shantaram Award, a national award and a Maharashtra government award.
