BJP playing regional card:Congress

The Congress held on Thursday that the BJP's divisive politics of playing the regional card and attempting to draw electoral mileage by pitting lower Himachal against the higher hilly one would fail as such campaigns had already run their course.

Congress spokesman Kuldeep Rathore said that the opposition was upto mischief again and was attempting to divide the people for petty political gains.
"Instead of resorting to such gimmicks, BJP should try and set its house in order for the party was sharply divided along personality lines," he said.

"Over the last four-and-a-half-years, the state has witnessed an all around development and no area has been discriminated against," claimed Rathore.
As the campaign for the three tribal seats peaks, the Congress is trying to defend its position by claiming that it was their government, which has ensured that these remote regions developed in pace with rest of the state.
