Aus tour would be tough: Ganguly

India may just have mauled Pakistan in the Test series but former captain Sourav Ganguly reckons the fight would be tougher when the team takes on Australia at their den.

"Australia is the world's number one team. So it will be tough playing them," Ganguly said after releasing the 'Techno India Cricket Year Book 2007'.

Asked how he was gearing up for the series beginning with the first Test at Melbourne from December 26, the senior cricketer said, "One always has to go for some special preparation before a tough series. But I don't want to disclose anything more."

Ganguly has been in great form of late and he bagged the Man of the Series award against Pakistan, besides becoming only the second player after South African Jacques Kallis to notch up more than 1000 runs in 2007.

Ganguly also sidestepped a query on whether he had made any special preparation keeping in mind the formidable fast bowling attack of the Australians.

"It is nothing like that," he said in a short reply.

Having played 99 Tests, Ganguly is on the verge of joining the 100 Test club and though a century would perhaps be the best way to celebrate the moment, Ganguly was not ready to predict. "I am not thinking of any such thing. I just want to go out there and play my game. I just need to play well".

The left-hander is scheduled to leave for Mumbai on Sunday afternoon to join the Australia-bound team a day ahead of the squad's departure.

Ganguly admitted playing his 100th Test would be a special moment but asserted it would not come as a distraction.
