56-year-old Putin all set to marry 24-year-old gymnast

Is Russian President Vladimir Putin going the way of French President Nicolas Sarkozy? Fifty-six-year-old Putin is all set to marry a 24-year-old gymnast, according to media reports in Moscow.

The Daily Telegraph of Britain quoted a Russian newspaper as saying that Putin and gymnast Alina Kabaeva have decided to marry in mid June after Putin quits as Russian President.

Kabaeva, who is now a member of Parliament, is Russia's most celebrated rhythmic gymnast.
She represented Russia at both the Sydney and Athens Olympic Games.

According to reports, Kabaeva has appeared in an action film and posed in daring photographs as a model.

However, Kremlin has not commented on the rumours. Putin has also not officially announced his separation from his 50-year-old wife Ludmilla, but the pair is reported to have split two months ago.
