Dhoni not to keep wickets in IPL

New Delhi: Chennai Super Kings skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who is the highest bid player to take part in the cash rich Indian Premier League, will not keep wickets and only play as a specialist batsman due to injury to his fingers.

Dhoni's bruised fingers were a cause of concern throughout the recently concluded Test series against South Africa.

Parthiv Patel will be keeping wickets in place of Dhoni.

The Dhoni-led Chennai team will take on Kings XI Punjab in the second match of the IPL on Saturday in Mohali.
